Fire Suppression

Fire Departments perform risk analyses and design strategies utilizing a standard of cover to protect their fire service districts. These strategies are based on the unique demands of each district. The Town of Westlake provides a unique challenge within the approximate 7 square miles that the fire department protects. Westlake has a wide spectrum of potential fire emergencies and must be prepared for the protection of varying locations, from large open pastures to highly populated corporate campuses. The large homes in Westlake also present a unique challenge. The requirement of residential fire sprinkler systems helps reduce the risk of fire, and also provides greater life safety protection for our citizens. When greater resources are required, the Westlake Fire/EMS Department has a working relationship with our neighboring cities.
