The Town uses a third party service, SCTracking Solutions, to catalog and inspect backflow devices in the Town. Backflow devices prevent wastewater from entering into the potable water system of the Town and protects the health and safety of our residents and customers.
Certain properties and types of backflow devices must be inspected on a regular basis to ensure they are performing as intended to meet TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) regulations.
You may receive a letter from SCTracking that requires inspection of a devices in your home or place of business. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the town staff listed on this page.
Irrigation and water softener backflow devices at the home do not require annual inspection, allthough suggested.
All commercial backflow devices require annual inspection.
All pools, regardless of public/private ownership, require annual inspection of RPZ backflow devices.
Backflow Contractors are required to register through SCTracking Solutions. All contractor registrations, registering of devices, and inspections are performed through this system.
