Public Service Opportunities
Citizens of the Town of Westlake can participate in a variety of public service opportunities, including serving on one of Westlake's boards, commissions, or committees:


Volunteering for Appointment
The Town of Westlake is fortunate to have a large number of concerned citizens who are willing to volunteer their time, energy, and expertise to serve the community as members of our various boards and commissions.

Generally, the requirement for board appointments is the following: 

  • Must be a citizen of Westlake
  • Must be a registered voter in Westlake
  • *If required, must be able to pass a criminal background check 

The Town typically accepts applications annually beginning in April through May of every year. Applications are available online and must be submitted to the Town Secretary's Office. Final appointments are made by the Town Council. Typically, annual appointments are made in June. The Town Secretary's Office holds applications for one year should a vacancy occur on any board or commission during a mid-year term.
