WATER COLOR EXPLAINED: Our Public Works team has received calls this morning from residents saying their water is discolored.
The discoloration is traced to bringing additional treatment capacity online at the Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant in Fort Worth. Westlake gets its water from Fort Worth. Discolored water does not mean there is a water quality issue that affects public health, so there is no boil water notice in place. The water is safe to drink.
Staff is currently flushing out as much water as possible to clear up the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience.
