It was an eventful Town Council meeting Monday evening. Several important issues were discussed and voted upon concerning both the Town and Westlake Academy. Here’s a recap of what happened.
*Mayor Greaves as well as Council members David Quint, Tammy Reeves, and Mike Asselta were sworn in
*The Metroport Rotary Club was recognized by the Mayor
*Council had a discussion about the Westlake Academy 2024-2025 budget
*Council tabled to a future meeting the discussion to authorize funds for Accelerate Learning, Inc at Westlake Academy
*Council approved a preliminary site plan for the Solana Hills neighborhood
*Council adopted ordinance 997 with conditions regarding Westlake Entrada
*Tammy Reeves was elected as Mayor Pro Tem
*Council accepted the resignation of Council member Tim Shiner
*Dr. Kelly Ritchie's hire as Head of School at Westlake Academy
*Council approved resolution to implement an Enterprise Resource Software System
*Council agreed to amend the Council/BOT calendar through September 30, 2024.
