It was a busy Town Council meeting Monday night. Several important issues were discussed and voted upon concerning both the Town and Westlake Academy. Here’s a recap of what happened.
- Council received an annual report from Fire Chief John Ard
- Tabeled an IT audit report from Inspira Enterprises for a future meeting
- Conducted a public hearing and discussed the 2023 Charter FIRST rating for Westlake Academy based on the 2021-2022 school year data and the annual financial management report.
- Approved a resolution accepting the 2022 audit report
- Approved resolution amending the Westlake Academy graduation policy
- Approved resolution amending the Westlake Academy admission policy
- Approved modifications to the Town Secretary's contract
- Approved guaranteeing the contract of Interim Head of School through June, then extending it two years in the role as PYP Principal if they do not continue on as Head of School past June.
- Approved allowing the Mayor to choose the members of the search committee for the Westlake Academy Head of School
